The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences slate of nominees for the 2012 JUNO Awards is full of 91³Ô¹Ï musicians.

Gracing this year’s list of nominees are alumni, faculty and ensembles of the Faculty of Music, with 10 nominations in six categories:

VOCAL JAZZ ALBUM OF THE YEAR:
•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;´¡±ô³Ü³¾²Ô²¹ Fern Lindzon – Two Kites

TRADITIONAL JAZZ ALBUM OF THE YEAR:
•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;´¡±ô³Ü³¾²Ô³Ü²õ/faculty member David Braid – Verge

•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Dave Young Quintet – Aspects of Oscar
The Dave Young Quintet includes jazz faculty members Dave Young and Terry Clarke, as well as jazz alumnus Kevin Turcotte.

•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Mike Murley Septet – Still Rollin’
The Mike Murley Septet includes jazz faculty members Mike Murley, David Braid, Terry Promane and Jim Vivian, as well as jazz alumni Tara Davidson and Kevin Turcotte.

CONTEMPORARY JAZZ ALBUM OF THE YEAR:
•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;´¡±ô³Ü³¾²Ô³Ü²õ Mark Fewer with the Phil Dwyer Orchestra – Changing Seasons

CLASSICAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR: SOLO OR CHAMBER ENSEMBLE:
•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Canadian Brass (Artist in Residence) – Brahms On Brass

•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Susan Hoeppner (flute faculty), Lydia Wong (piano faculty) – American Flute Masterpieces

CLASSICAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR: VOCAL OR CHORAL PERFORMANCE:
•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Tafelmusik (Baroque Orchestra in Residence), and Daniel Taylor (Visiting Artist) – J.S. Bach Canatas BWV 70 & 154, Concerto BWV 1060 and Orchestral Suite No. 2

CLASSICAL COMPOSITION OF THE YEAR:
