Beth McCarthy receives Advancement Distinguished Leader Award
Beth McCarthy, the executive director of divisional relations for the Division of University Advancement (DUA) at the 91³Ô¹Ï has received the Advancement Distinguished Leader Award.
The honour recognizes an advancement leader at an established career stage who has continuously demonstrated exemplary leadership, who leads by mobilizing, motivating and empowering others –and whose extraordinary and sustained contributions have led to the success of their division’s or the University’s highest strategic priorities.
As a trusted leader and colleague, McCarthy is renowned for offering advice, guidance and support to others when needed. She is also recognized for the positive impact she has had in DUA’s stakeholder management through collaboration, compromise and collegiality.
The award citation highlights: “When you need an ear or a shoulder, you can always turn to Beth who will listen and empathize. When you have an issue that requires information, you can always turn to Beth for options. And, when you need direction, you can turn to Beth to provide guidance.
